THE SLEEPING GIANT.

Queensland fishers are patient folk who fish in wind and rain,

Even on the days they fail they still come back again.

 Like the sleeping Giant beware if they awake,

As People like our pollies may have made a big mistake.

 Fishers have a power as yet not seen or tested,

So let us ask the pollies where their future is invested.

 You shinny bums in Canberra formed a group called GBRMPA,

Beware the sleeping Giant it will rise and Surely thump ya!

 Green Zones, Yellow Zones even little blue Zones made up by the people that never want to fish.

If only they would listen to what us fishers wish.

 So it’s take up the fight, awaken from your Sleep,

Awake sleeping Giant we have a date to keep.
